Q Do I need to register / create an account with MoveMyHome to avail the services ?
Yes, you need to register / create an account with MoveMyHome to avail of the services. However, you can access the website and surf it without registering / creating any account with MoveMyHome.
Q Are your service providers (Packers & Movers) trustworthy ?
Yes, our service providers (Packers & Movers) are trustworthy. They have been taken on board MoveMyHome, only after careful & thorough scrutiny. After enlisting, the service provider’s performance is continually monitored and reviewed. If a certain service provider is not found good, we even de-list that service provider.
Q Can I contact the service providers, from whom I have received the quotations, directly ?
Yes, you will have to contact the service providers directly. We encourage you to contact the service providers directly before making any commitments.
Q Can I make a booking with the service provider, from whom I have received one of the quotations, directly ?
You will have to contact the service providers directly and make a booking. MoveMyHome is not intermediary between you and the service provider for making bookings.
Q How many quotations can I receive? / Is there a limit to the number of quotations that I can receive for a particular relocation ?
You will receive 10 quotations per submission. To get more quotations you will have to resubmit the details and not choose the vendors from whom you have received the quotations earlier. However, you can only receive 20 quotations in a month.
Q What if I do not know the exact address of my destination? / What if I have to find a house in a new city where I intend to move ?
You can still avail of all the services. However, you need to communicate this situation to the service providers before making the final booking. Additionally, we suggest you to communicate your address to the service provider before the arrival of your goods at the destination.
You can alternatively avail of the warehousing facility at the destination till such time you have fixed a house for yourself. This condition should also be made clear to the service provider before making the final booking as the cost of relocation may change with the additional warehousing facility.

Movement schedules, cancellation, rescheduling and inventory / list of items

Q I have not yet decided on my exact date of relocation / movement; can I still get quotations from MoveMyHome ?
Yes, even if the exact dates are not finalized / fixed you can still get quotations from the service providers. While submitting you movement details, we suggest you not be more than 7 days off the mark for better & fairly accurate quotations. However, before making the final booking you need to communicate this situation to the service provider.
Q Can I reschedule my movement / relocation once I have made the booking ?
Rescheduling the relocation has to be discussed and mutually agreed between you and the service provider only.
Q Can I cancel my movement / relocation once I have made the booking ?
Cancellation of the relocation has to be discussed and mutually agreed between you and the service provider only.
Q Can I change the service provider after I have made the booking ?
Selecting, making a booking, rescheduling and cancellation are all your prerogatives. You can, with discussion & mutual agreement with the service provider, do any or all of those. Changing the service provider means cancelling the earlier service provider. Cancellation of the relocation has to be discussed and mutually agreed between you and the service provider only.
You can make a new booking with any of the service providers who have submitted their quotations to you.
Q Do I need to list all the items / goods / inventory to get quotations ?
We recommend you to be as thorough as possible in listing your goods / items / inventory to get fairly exact quotations. The goods / inventory / item list directly affects the quantity of packing material, container size and labour needed to carry out the relocation service. Our easy to use drop-down menus are a great help in listing your inventory.
Q How can I list all the goods / items / inventory to be relocated, it is a difficult task ?
You can actually do it, it is fairly easy. We have enlisted almost all the household goods / inventory / items in drop down menus. You just have to check the items that you wish to relocate.
Q If, a certain item, that I want to relocate, is not on the drop down menu, then how can I list it ?
Relocation can have only one origin and one destination. However, if you have such a situation where you have more than one origin and destination, then you will have to make different submissions and will receive different quotation.
Each combination of Origin – Destination will be treated as a different relocation
QIs it possible to have more than one origin and / or more than one destination ?
At the end of the drop down menu you have the option of customizing the list. Simply add that items there and it will be appended to the list.

Payment & Charges

Q How much will I have to pay MoveMyHome for the services that I will avail from the website ?
The MakeMyHome services are absolutely free for you. You will not have to pay MoveMyHome anything for the services availed from the website.
Q How much will I have to pay to the service provider for the booking that I will make ?
You will have to pay the amount quoted and mutually agreed between the service provider and you.
Q How much will I have to pay at the time of making the booking ?
How much you will have to pay at the time of making the booking has to be discussed and mutually agreed between you and the service provider.
Q How can I pay the booking amount ?
How you can pay the booking amount to the service provider has to be discussed and mutually agreed between you and the service provider.
Q How can I pay the full amount to the service provider ?
How you can pay the full amount to the service provider has to be discussed and mutually agreed between you and the service provider.

You will receive the quotations within 24 hours of submitting the details.
